National Network
Introduction

WELCOME! to AmericaTakingAction.com. First of all let me say that this Network was created for YOU.... America's Youth, Parents, and Educator's. It was created by a group of your peers.... mostly parents and educator's, but even by a few students. We hope to have many more students join us as we grow. It is our belief that the youth of this nation have great skills and enthusiasm to share with their local communities and all they need is a forum to develop and display those skills. AmericaTakingAction.com is a vehicle to do just that.

You may notice schools missing from the Network or even inaccurate information. The Network is still in the building phase. Our focus now is to verify the information we extracted from the on-line directories and be sure that we have a webpage for EVERY SINGLE school across the nation so that every child can have a page with his/her school's name on it... and hopefully local information.

This Network was created by volunteers with no financial remuneration. Several of the key team members put other businesses aside to be able to focus on providing this resource.

We need the participation of visitors to the site in order to maintain updated information. You can help us in the following ways:

1. If you find a missing school Click Here. It would be very helpful if you could send the information for all of the schools in your area. You will notice that the directory is divided by city at this point. We will be adding a directory to include School Districts as well as counties and regional information. Your assistance is welcome in this area. Those states which have provided us with a Board of Education Directory are complete and accurate. For a sample of a completed state please look at Utah. If you have access to such a directory and can help us it would be very much appreciated.

2. If you would be interested in a part-time job working with us on an ongoing basis to keep your local information updated, or if you know of someone who is, please contact Avis at Avis@AmericaTakingAction.com.

3. The following programs are all opportunities for you to get involved, receive free training in a variety of topics, receive many useful tools and learning aids at no cost, and get paid for doing it:

4. If you find sites that would enhance the various Centers of the Network (particularly Parent Resource Center, Teacher's Lounge, Student Center, Study Hall, Cyberary, Technology Center, Preschool and the affiliated Networks) we invite you to submit the site by sending the URL to support@AmericaTakingAction.com.
