AmericaTakingAction for Kids is a National Network of School Websites providing the benefits and advantages of the internet to every school across the country regardless of current availability. AmericaTakingAction.com offers numerous FREE programs to help teachers, families, local businesses and entire communities learn to harness the power of the internet for enhancing the education and the standard of living in their community.

This organization was setup with definite purpose, revolving around kids, families, education and communities without cost to them, whereby establishing a national network for all students, parents, teachers, administrators, legislature and the business communities to specifically empower nationally each local School district and/or a community to facilitate a technology change in education for all learners. Each of us as learners, have a vital role in the education of our children and must be the trustees into the 21st century, because we have the individual and collective learning styles, viewpoints and needs to make it happen.

 
Opportunities to Be Involved
AmericaTakingAction for Kids was developed with a variety of specific purposes in mind. One of these was to provide work-at-home parents with the opportunity to build their own businesses while benefitting their children and contributing in positive ways to their local communities. There are a variety of opportunities ranging from webpage design to assisting schools with fundraising opportunities to working with small businesses in their own communities or working with major companies nationally. These opportunities allow AmericaTakingAction Local Representatives to remain home with their children while making a good income.

StudentDriven.com is an integral part of AmericaTakingAction for Kids and the Youth Webmasters program. StudentDriven is a Business Directory linked directly to the school websites of each school. It has 4 main goals:

  • Provide businesses with the internet training and services they need to remain competitive in the 21st Century
  • Provide businesses an opportunity to put their advertising dollars back into the local schools and educating their future work force
  • Provide today's youth an opportunity to develop and use webmastering skills on relevant and worthwhile projects
  • To provide local schools with extra funding for technology, extracurricular activities and other needed resources

   
Requirements of Local Representatives
Local Representatives/students perform the following steps:
  • Contact local businesses and help them complete the information required for the listing.
  • Fill out online registration form then forward, along with payment, to the AmericaTakingAction Production Center.
  • Send weekly "Local Update Form" to the State Rep.

   
Income Potential
The Rate for participating businesses starts at $10/mo ($120 year)
This includes:
  • 12-month listing on the StudentDriven local business directory.
  • Membership in Business On-line National Network, entitling members to discounts on quality products and services, monthly newsletter, FREE internetwork marketing training, and open participation in forum and mailing list.
  • Banner Advertising Opportunities.
  • Reduced rates on webpage design and services.
  • Discounts on all other listings on the AmericaTakingAction for Kids National Network.

Local Representatives/students receive:

  • 30% from each business registration.

State Representatives receive:

  • 5% from each business registration in their state.

Schools receive:

  • 20% from each registration.
