AmericaTakingAction.com offers numerous FREE programs to help teachers, families, local businesses and entire communities learn to harness the power of the internet for enhancing the education and the standard of living in their community.

This organization was setup with definite purpose, revolving around kids, families, education and communities without cost to them, whereby establishing a national network for all students, parents, teachers, administrators, legislature and the business communities to specifically empower nationally each local School district and/or a community to facilitate a technology change in education for all learners. Each of us as learners, have a vital role in the education of our children and must be the trustees into the 21st century, because we have the individual and collective learning styles, viewpoints and needs to make it happen.

 
Opportunities to Be Involved
AmericaTakingAction for Kids was developed with a variety of specific purposes in mind. One of these was to provide work-at-home parents with the opportunity to build their own businesses while benefitting their children and contributing in positive ways to their local communities. There are a variety of opportunities ranging from webpage design to assisting schools with fundraising opportunities to working with small businesses in their own communities or working with major companies nationally. These opportunities allow AmericaTakingAction.com Local Representatives to remain home with their children while making a good income.

The National Convention was created to provide an equal opportunity for large and small businesses offering products for schools and home-use to notify teachers and parents of their products at a reasonable cost. Big companies have huge advertising budgets and spend literally thousands of dollars every year sending employees to PTA Conventions, Principal Association Conventions, Early Childhood Conventions, etc. The smaller businesses that can't afford the cost of attending numerous such conventions up to this point have been limited in the exposure they can obtain. Through AmericaTakingAction.com Convention '99 a business, large or small, can attend as many of these "Conventions" on-line as they wish to for one low cost. The following Conventions are all housed at AmericaTakingAction.com:

Requirements of Local Representatives
Local Representatives perform the following steps:
  • Contact local businesses who offer products and services appropriate for at least one of the Conventions listed above and help them complete the information required for the listing.
  • Complete the online registration form and then forward, along with payment, to the AmericaTakingAction Production Center.
  • Send weekly "Local Update Form" to the Directory Manager.

   
Income Potential
Convention rates are as follows:
      $195 per state
      $245 per region
      $425 nationwide
This includes:
  • 12-month listing in as many Convention Halls as desired (as long as the product or service is appropriate. AmericaTakingAction reserves the right to make the final decision on whether a product/service is appropriate for a particular Convention Hall).
  • Banner Advertising Opportunities at Convention.
  • Reduced rates on webpage design and services.
  • Discounts on all other listings on the AmericaTakingAction for Kids National Network.

Local Representatives receive:

  • $75 from each registration.
  • $10 from each registration through fundraising activities in their area.

Schools receive:

  • $95 per state registration / $125 when done as a fundraiser
  • $125 per regional registration / $225 when done as a fundraiser
  • $225 per national registration / $290 when done as a fundraiser
