Make Us Your Homepage

Have AmericaTakingAction.com waiting for you! Make us your start-up page.

It's easy to change the start-up page (default home page). Most browsers (the window you use to view the World Wide Web) come with their own company page as the first page you see when you open the program. However, that can be easily changed. Here's how you do it.

Helpful Hint: Print this page so you can refer to it.

      If you use Netscape:

      1. Go to http://www.AmericaTakingAction.com
      2. Find "Preferences," which will be located either in the "Options" menu if you have an older version or in the "Edit" menu if you have a newer version. Look at the bar at the top of your browser window to find it.
      3. Click on Preferences and look for a dialog box that says: "Browser Starts With" or "Home Page."
      4. You'll see a box with the address of the current start-up page like: http://www.netscape.com and below it a button that says: "Use Current." Just click the "Use Current" button to change the start-up address.
      5. Click OK and then close the Preferences window. That's it. Next time you're ready to surf, AmericaTakingAction.com will be there waiting!

NOTE: You will actually want to make your school's page the start-up page. For the first 2 sets of instructions be sure to go all the way into your school before proceeding. For the AOL instructions get the complete URL from the Address line once you are at your school's individual website.
